Gabriela Jiménez

Movement artist, teacher and researcher born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico based in Brussels. Holds an MFA in Art and Choreography from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Brussels, ISAC. Graduated with a BA in Performing Arts and Foreign Languages, specialized in French from the University of Puerto Rico. Gabriela Jiménez has worked as a dancer, choreographer and performer in NYC, Montréal, Paris, Puerto Rico and Brussels.

Gabriela teaches dance and movement workshops in Brussels and Puerto Rico. She develops a style weaving movement anatomy, contemporary dance, and functional athletic training.

She is an artist whose main form of expression is movement. In her work the body turns into a vessel where anatomy, concepts and movement coexist.
