This performance touches on subjects that we can no longer “deal with” or approach without proper support. Involuntary movements or “autonomous reactions of the nervous system” serve as an aesthetic and rhythmic material. However, they can resurface traumas or evoke neurodegenerative diseases, which are taboo in our society. How could we together prepare the audience to approach these subjects by making them visible and highlighting them? Indeed, it is important to showcase a necessary monstrosity in our daily lives, so that we can get used to seeing bodies tremble or convulse without feeling as though they are possessed.
